Determinants of Dividend Payout in The Utilities Sector among Malaysian Public Listed Companies

The issue of dividend payout in certain companies called the puzzle raises a number research issues that can be studied detail at various levels. However, this study aims to determine factors affecting determinants utilities sector such as debt, cash flows, investment, and growth. A total 12 listed companies’ data over 3 years 2017-2019 is used analysed using fixed-effect model. findings underline significant role independent variables deciding amount sector. It demonstrated only three are payout; flow, results might provide company’s board directors management team with appropriate strategies influence shareholders’ investment decisions. This provides empirical evidence on related influencing policy, which currently considered inconclusive.
